Death glares upon you.
He's reading you your last rites.
Can you hear him now?
Can you hear him reading you your last rights.
He looks upon you.
He watches you move, he watches.
He looks upon you.
Can you hear him call?
Calling from the grave.
Dearly departed, are you alone or deserted?
(Are you alone?)
Can no one feel you, or what you've been through?
Overwhelmed in silence, I'm all alone.
Spare me this pain.
Take it all away.
If I die!
If I die!
If I die!
My soul is yours. x2
Die! x2
Be weary, speak softly.
Oh my savior in hiding.
Before our eyes there's a blinding light.
I love you.
I'm with you.
Come home now.
I can see. I can hear. I can feel, everything.
I'm not frightened, oh my dear, when you are near.
I will not fear anything.
Oh you've got a sentence.
You've given penance just like you always have. x2
Sway back and forth.
Turn out the lights.
Corrupted assumptions.
Caught up in the fight.
Lay down your hand.
Keep hope in your mind.
Forced into the motions.
Our lives intertwine. x2
Lay down your hand.
Keep hope.
Forced into the motions. x2
Now your soul leaves your body, disembodied you've become.
I am eternal.
I am the voice of reason.
Hear my voice let it tempt your soul.
You are mine.
You are here.
You are everything.
Let this be your salvation.
Let me take you away.
Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
